Seattle Restaurant Week

Dine out at more than 150 local restaurants for a 'prix fixe'

Easter Sunday kicked off the beginning of Seattle Restaurant Week, which runs April 8-12 and April 15-19, but excludes Friday, Saturday and Sunday brunch. More than 150 local restaurants in the Seattle area are serving three-course meals for $28 and many of those restaurants are also offering three-course lunches for $15. Restaurants like BOKA Kitchen + Bar on First Avenue near Pioneer Square, Eva Restaurant in Green Lake and Tango Restaurant on First Hill are participants of this popular culinary event that celebrates Seattle dining and diners. A snapshot of BOKA's Seattle Restaurant Week menu gives curious readers and diners a taste of this savory, collaborative celebration.

Most restaurants participating in Seattle Restaurant Week will offer three options for each course of your meal and BOKA is no exception. Begin your three-course meal at BOKA with a San Francisco Bay-inspired appetizer like Point Reyes Blue Cheesecake. Although diners might anticipate their dessert before their meal with this appetizer, the Point Reyes Blue Cheesecake combines sherry gastrique on fougasse toast. Cucumber Soup and Ahi Tuna TarTare are two other appetizer options for Seattle Restaurant Week participants who are dining at BOKA.

The three BOKA entree selections are dynamic and unique, including Grilled Southeast Alaskan King Salmon, Roasted Pork Loin or Pink Peppercorn Crusted Tofu. The salmon is served with almond potatoes, grilled fennel and rhubarb coulis while the pork loin features apple custard, crisp walnuts, watercress and rosemary gastrique. The vegan-friendly tofu dish arrives with English pea risotto, braised leeks and sweet onion syrup.

Sweeten your palate and finish your Seattle Restaurant Week meal at BOKA with your choice of three desserts: Old Fashioned Chocolate Cake with hot fudge sauce and tart cherry compote, Apple Fritters with cinnamon, sugar and bourbon caramel sauce or a Trio of Seasonal Ice Cream Sandwiches.

The 'prix fixe' menu price is per person and doesn't include drinks, tax or tips. Find more information and enter to win a $50 gift certificate to participating restaurants at Seattle Restaurant Week's website
